College and Career Services

NAYA is excited to partner with the Oregon Lottery and the United Way to provide scholarships for ECA school graduates attending or planning to attend a college/trade school.

Applications must be filled out and submitted with the requested materials for consideration.

ALL application materials must be received by 11:59 pm, Thursday, May 31. You may email, mail or deliver  your application in –person to the College & Career Center, Attn: Becca Wolf.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship applicants must:

  • Eligibility Requirements
    • Have attended NAYA’s Early College Academy
    • Be attending / enrolled at an accredited educational institution (college, university, trade school, etc.)
    • Demonstrate community involvement
    • Demonstrate financial need

Other basic information:

  • General Scholarship rules & information:
    • Recipients  may be enrolled in/ or attending school either full or part time.
    • There is no limit on the number of times that a person may apply and compete for this scholarship
    • A recipient may apply for and be awarded this scholarship a maximum of four times (years)
    • Some scholarships require attendance at an Oregon Institution
    • Youth who have only attended NAYA’s Summer Ascend, but not the ECA, are not eligible (if they have attended both Summer Ascend and the ECA they are eligible)

The College and Career Center strives to increase the numbers of Native American youth attending and graduating from some form of education and training beyond high school. We offer services to prepare youth for college, including career exploration, school search and exploration, resources for standardized test preparation, admissions and scholarship assistance, and educational workshops for youth and families.
