Volunteer

Volunteers play a pivotal role at NAYA Family Center and we appreciate the wonderful support we receive from them! Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us. The best way to connect with current and future volunteer opportunities is to complete our NAYA Volunteer Application here. Please feel free to reach out to Volunteer Coordinator Fawn Livngston-Gray with any questions.

While we are not currently hosting many in-person volunteers to keep our communities safe during COVID, here are our current volunteer opportunities:

  • Garden Assistant: Help grow our food and medicinal plant gardens through weeding, watering, planting, and more. Current shift times are Mondays and/or Wednesdays, 10:00 am –  1:00 pm, as well as occasional work parties at other times. Times may shift during the summer.
  • Blackberry Remediation Crew (short-term): Help protect our food and medicinal plant gardens by placing tarps and sandbags over invasive blackberry bushes. Staff will work with volunbeers to find times to complete this project.
  • Business Mentor: Help Native businesses grow and expand, This is a virtual opportunity with flexible hours.
