Promoting prosperity for our community members, NAYA Family Center offers a robust suite of programs to support economic well-being, including Individual Development Accounts (IDAs), Financial Wellness classes, Basics of Business, a Native Business Accelerator program, One-on-one Business Coaching, the Green Workforce Academy, and opportunities with NAYA’s marketplace and retail.

THe programs
Green Workforce Academy
The Green Workforce Academy is a 5-week paid training opportunity for Black, Indigenous and other adults of color. The program pairs classroom learning with hands-on field experience to help participants explore careers in the green economy.

Generational Wealth
SAFE stands for Student Academy for Financial Empowerment. SAFE’s aim is to help postsecondary learners craft actionable strategies to reduce debt and graduate.

IDA savings
Individual Development Accounts, or IDAs, are an innovative way for low-income Oregonians to gain greater financial security and work towards a specific goal.

Microenterprise Program
The Microenterprise program is a collaborative effort to build prosperity within Portland’s Native American community while preserving cultural traditions.

Basics of business
This nine-week course includes invaluable gatherings where you’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow together with a community of entrepreneurs, building bonds and providing peer support.

native business accelerator
NAYA’s Native Business Accelerator aims to build prosperity in Portland, Oregon’s Native American community by creating self-determined enterprises.

Cully Farmers Market
The Cully Famers Market is joined by a handful of new vendors, and we are happy to add that many of our vendors from the previous year returned as well. From fresh produce to flowers, baked treats and artesian goods, there was something for everyone!
