Foster Care Support

Foster Care Support is a Portland Children’s Levy-funded program. To participate in this program, youth and families  require a Department of Human Services (DHS) Caseworker to send a referral. Our staff can assist help you connect with DHS.

The foster care support program assists youth who are in state or tribal foster care systems. We offer services to youth from birth to age 24 as well as supportive resources to their birth and foster parents. Young adults who aged out of foster care can also receive services through age 24. Our staff work to provide consistent culturally appropriate individual- and family-based support services. These services help to build understanding and maintain Native cultural traditions and connections.

The Sibling Family Enrichment Visit Night falls under this program and all staff are trained in Positive Indian Parenting as a frame of reference to best support families. The age group for this program is (0–24 years of age) this is a long-term case managed program. Contact Foster Care Services Manager for more information.
