4th Annual Mamook Tokatee Block Party

Last week, NAYA hosted our 4th Annual Mamook Tokatee Block Party, bringing the community together for a day of culture, creativity, food, music, and dance. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities, including bead making, glass blowing, collage-making, raffles, and musical performances.

Throughout the day, guests of all ages were invited to celebrate through traditional drumming and dance, along with opportunities to connect, create, and enjoy good food with community.

This block party is catered towards the residents at Mamook Tokatee. Mamook Tokatee invites a new way of thinking about home, creativity, and community. Its name, drawn from Chinook Wawa, means “to make beautiful,” and that intention is felt throughout every space.

Here, art is not an addition. It is a foundation. Mamook Tokatee was designed with Native artists and creators in mind, offering spaces where making, sharing, and storytelling are part of everyday life. An on site studio and gallery create opportunities for residents to shape culture in real time, while gathering spaces welcome connection across generations. The result is a place where creativity strengthens identity and builds community from within.
