Katie Archer

Katie joined NAYA as the economic development coordinator supporting the Cully business districts in 2025. A native New Yorker, Katie has 20+ years of experience in community engagement, workforce development and community-based programming. For nearly a decade, she worked for an affordable housing developer in New York City, where she developed workforce training programs, supported non-profits in creating community-based initiatives, developed residential and school-based programming, and oversaw a compliance program to create contract opportunities for minority and women-owned business enterprises (M/WBEs).  In past work, Katie led programming and marketing initiatives to support a small business district. She holds a BA from Boston University.  In her free time Katie enjoys exploring the Portland Parks system with her long-term partner and their sweet rescue dog, backyard gardening with two felines, jogging around North Portland, and eating her way through PDX's excellent food scene.
