Native Professionals & Friends Night

April 6, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us Thursday April 6th at the Regional Arts and Culture Council for our springtime Native Professionals and Friends Night. NPFN is a local networking event that bring together leaders in all areas of the community, including professionals from the business and public sector,  community organization representatives, and job seekers. This event is open to everyone, Native and Non-Native alike.

Bring your friends, family, and coworkers for an enjoyable evening of fun festivities and networking. Avoid the lines and PREREGISTER TODAY. Those who preregister will be entered into a raffle with several prizes.

Please join us as we bring together community leaders to celebrate Indigenous artists and artwork.  Lillian Pitt, Warm Springs/Yakama/Wasco Tribe, longtime NAYA friend, will share  her stories about the about the contributions of Native American artists across the region.  Lillian is one of the most highly regarded Native American artists in the Pacific Northwest. Her works have been exhibited and reviewed regionally, nationally and internationally, and she has been the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions. Primarily a sculptor and mixed media artist, Lillian’s lifetime of works include artistic expressions in clay, bronze, wearable art, prints, and most recently, glass. The focus of her work draws on over 12,000 years of Native American history and tradition of the Columbia River region. Regardless of the medium she chooses to use, Lillian’s contemporary works are all aimed at giving voice to her people.

Regional Arts and Culture Council (RACC) will also be displaying Night Lights, in conjunction with First Thursday and feature an art installment in collaboration with PSU students. We thank the Regional Arts and Culture Council for hosting us, and for their longstanding support of the arts in our community. We would also like to thank Legacy Health System for sponsoring this event.
