NAYA Board appoints Interim CEO
With the upcoming departure of Paul Lumley, CEO for the Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA), the Board of Directors is pleased to announce that current Director of Community Development Oscar Arana will serve as the Interim CEO while the Board conducts a national search for the next CEO.

NAYA has an amazing team of directors, hard-working and passionate staff, a base of invested and generous supporters–this is really a time of stability, prosperity and possibility for the organization.” stated Molly Washington, Board of Directors Chair.
Ms. Washington went on to say, “Oscar Arana stepping in as Interim CEO role is strategic for NAYA. He has history and roots in the organization, as well as knowledge and expertise in all areas of our programming. Oscar is much beloved by our community, the staff, our partners and our funders. I firmly believe that the leadership of NAYA is transitioning in a way that is natural, collaborative, cyclical and inspiring. The future for NAYA is bright.”
Oscar Arana will assume the CEO position July 6, 2023. A search committee convened by the Board of Directors will be assembled to launch the search for NAYA’s next CEO.
