NAYA Gala Emcee Announced
NAYA is excited to announce Mr. Paul Lumley, Yakama, as the 12th Annual Gala emcee. Mr. Lumley is the Executive Director for the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission (CRITFC) and a citizen of the Yakama Nation, which is located in central Washington State. The work of Mr. Lumley has been extensive during his tenure at CRITFC, and his contributions to community continue to grow with supporting roles such as establishing a grant program for the four Columbia River treaty tribes. Mr. Lumley has worked at CRITFC from 1987-2004 under several capacities and has been a great supporter on issues that directly impact American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians. He returned to CRITFC after 5 years in Washington DC to begin his tenure as executive director on July 1, 2009.
Mr. Lumley has an extensive history working with Northwest Tribes on salmon issues, particularly in the Columbia River Basin. Paul Lumley received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Western Washington University in 1986.
NAYA is excited to have Paul host an evening that will be NAYA’s best gala yet. Join us on November 13th, at the Portland Art Museum. Guests will enjoy performances by Native artists, a decadent Indigenous-inspired dinner, and an opportunity to bid on beautiful crafted art, jewelry, and experience packages.
