Celebrate Native Heritage: VOTE

Celebrate Native Heritage: VOTE

November is National Native American Heritage Month. Governor Kitzhaber, the City of Portland, and jurisdictions nationwide recognize this yearly event as an opportunity to celebrate the heritage of the inhabitants of this land since time immemorial. This event is a potent reminder that our elected officials are responsive to our community and can take action to recognize us – but not if we remain silent. The 2014 election is drawing to a close and in Oregon it’s now too late to mail in your ballots. You can find a dropbox using this helpful tool from the Secretary of State, and make sure you cast your vote before 8pm on Tuesday November 4th.
