Virtual College Night
August 18, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The College & Career Center has taken our College Night online! We are available for youth to meet and hang out with us every Tuesday and Thursday from 3–6pm. We support any youth who is in the 8th grade up to 24 years old.
We can help youth:
-work on college admissions, scholarship applications, and financial aid
-find employment or look into career options including trades programs
-navigate online classes (8th grade–post secondary), help with homework, or find assistance with homework
-plan summer activities that would look great on college applications

For the month of August, we will be focusing on assisting high school seniors in completing the Gates Millennium Scholarship application during College Night, while offering the same support to other youth coming for help on other things.
We’re providing this specially focused space to ensure these seniors have the support needed as this application requires a large time commitment. It will be worth the investment of time, however. Gates Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance that is not already covered by other financial aid and the expected family contribution.
To apply, students must be:
- A high school senior
- From at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American
- Pell-eligible
- A US citizen, national, or permanent resident
- In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
- Additionally, a student must plan to enroll full-time, in a four-year degree program, at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.
*Proof of tribal enrollment will be required.
Deadline: September 15, 2020
