We welcome you to join us at our WIC Clinic, from 1PM to 4PM. This public health program is designed to improve health outcomes and influence lifetime nutrition and health behaviors for mothers and their children under the age of 5. Nutrition education is the cornerstone of the WIC Program.

Research shows WIC improves the following:

• Immunization rates
• Cognitive development
• Nutritional status
• Birth outcomes
• Health care costs

Free lead testing for children 0-6 and pregnant/breastfeeding women is also offered from 1PM-4PM at this event. Did you know that using cold water from the tap for drinking, cooking, or making baby formula can reduce your child’s risk for lead exposure? Children can be poisoned by lead, but not look or act sick. Many children who have lead poisoning look and act healthy. Because of this, lead poisoning may go unrecognized. A blood lead test is the only way to find out if a child has lead poisoning.
