Shape Vancouver’s Future: Comp Plan Workshop

May 3 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Join us Saturday, May 3rd, 10 – 11:30 a.m. at Vancouver City Hall to learn about the City of Vancouver’s Comprehensive Plan Update and why it matters to you and your family. This workshop will provide information and tools to help you be a part of the decision-making process to make your voice heard.

The Comprehensive Plan is a document that describes the long-term vision, goals, and policies for a city’s built and natural environment. The plan affects what can be built where, including industrial and commercial buildings, as well as parks, transportation, community centers, and much more.

Historically the voices of the Native communities have been ignored or avoided leading to harms such as industrial zones being built next to low-income neighborhoods. This is an opportunity to bring the whole family out to learn, and to walk away with both an understanding of next steps, and a $50 gift card for the farmers market next door to go towards enjoying the rest of your Saturday.

Gift cards are limited to Native/Indigenous adult participants who live or work in Washington State. Priority will be given for those that RSVP for the giftcards.

For more information please email KimHF@nayapdx.org. RSVP here.
