Native Professionals and Friends Night
February 13, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Sponsored by Oregon Historical Society
Join us for the first Native Professionals & Friends Night of 2020, hosted by our friends at Oregon Historical Society. Come enjoy a delightful selection of appetizers and libations, as we mix, mingle, and make memories, during an exclusive showing of Experience Oregon, the museum’s newest permanent exhibition.
The mission of the Oregon Historical Society is to preserve our state’s history and make it accessible to everyone in ways that advance knowledge and inspire curiosity about all the people, places, and events that have shaped Oregon. The Oregon Historical Society’s new cornerstone exhibition, Experience Oregon, is a dynamic educational space to learn about the people, places, and events that have shaped Oregon.
The compelling design highlights Oregon’s diverse landscapes, as well as people’s historical and ongoing relationships with its resources. Over 300 artifacts are on exhibit and span the state’s vast geography and complicated history. Interactive stations include “Stories from the Archives” tablet games, a covered-wagon replica that visitors can walk through, and role-playing games where visitors can take sides in historical debates.
This FREE networking event is open to everyone, Native and non-Native alike, interested in making friends and building relationships in our diverse Portland area community. All donations received from this event will help to support the many programs and services offered through NAYA Family Center.
Online registration is now closed, but you can still register at the door!
