Indigenous Peoples’ Day Community Celebration
October 8, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Portland is home to the ninth largest urban Native American population in the United States, with 70,000 people representing 380 different tribes. The history of indigenous communities is woven into the fabric of the City, and in 2015, Portland declared the second Monday in October to be Indigenous Peoples Day.
Join NAYA Family Center and Portland Parks & Recreation in commemorating Native peoples who have inhabited these lands since time immemorial at the Native Gathering Garden at Cully Park, 5810 NE 72nd Ave.
