Culture Night

October 16, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Moccassin Working Culture Night

Need help getting ready for November’s Rock Your Moccs event? Tonight’s Culture Night will be a work session to help you start, make progress on, or finish your moccasin-making project.

Bring what materials you have and even some photos of your tribe’s traditional style.

Culture Night is a time for families and community members to come together, share a meal and to learn traditions and crafts. Culture Nights feature guest speakers, arts instructors and volunteers who guide community members to explore the many traditions of our diverse cultures.

Also, Culture Nights are a perfect way for those families who are unfamiliar with their Native traditions to start making connections–and connecting their kids to community. All are welcome! Come!

Dinner is at 5:30 p.m.

Most materials will be provided for beginner projects. Youth must be accompanied by a guardian or advocate. All ages and levels of knowledge are welcome and encouraged to attend!
