The STEP 2 Respect project is funded through the Office of Violence Against Women in order to address the issues of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking within our Early College Academy. The goal of the project is to build a model program involving youth input that will allow for strengthened policies to strengthen school-wide responses to these issues, increased safety for survivors, and reduced incidents of abuse. Students are provided regular education about dating abuse, and teachers and staff are provided intensive training to address the issues within the school.
