The Unity Project: Art and Conversation Night

April 22, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

NAYA is teaming up with Lane Gallery and the Unity Project  for an art exhibition that will benefit the NAYA Family Center and other Portland non-profits. The Unity Project exhibits art by artists about communities that are marginalized, and holds community art conversations. The show will feature NAYA’s long-time friend, artist Teresa White, Yup’ik. The exhibit opens April 22nd, and runs through May 20th.

“Now is the time to speak out on the importance of our values; freedom of speech, the unfettered right to vote, equal protections under the law, freedom to worship or not worship, a free press, and freedom from hate and violence. The Unity Project will be hosting exhibits and discussions in support of these values.  We will be asking artists to submit their art that is relevant to these current times.”
